Finish with a sl st, fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
Legs (Make 2):
Finally, we are going to crochet the legs. Use yellow or orange color yarn and 2,5 mm crochet hook. If you prefer you can use orange felt and cut 2 pieces for the legs.
1r. 6 sc in magic ring (6)
2r. Inc in every st (12)
3r. Slip st in first, chain 1, 3 dc in next st, sl. st in next st, 3 dc in the next st, sl. st in next st, 3 dc in the next st, sl st in next st; finish off and leave a long tail for sewing.
For the eyes use felt and cut 2 white and 2 smaller black circles and for the beak cut an orange triangle.
Assembly:
First using darning needle sew the white belly at the bottom of the blue part. Then using darning needle again sew the legs on the white part. Using black thread first sew the black circles on the white ones. Then using white thread sew the eyes just above the belly. Using orange thread sew the beak just below the eyes.
If you have some Christmas hat button you can sew it above the eyes. Otherwise just crochet a little hat applique in red 🙂
Finally cut a piece of felt in the form of the penguin body and using blue thread sew the blue patch at the back of the penguin body.
You penguin coaster is ready. You can make another one in other color 🙂
